it really does seem hard to believe that a whole school year has gone by already! feels like just a couple of months ago we walked to school on that first day and watched as she bravely (and a little excitedly) stood in her class line and walked into the building only to emerge a few hours later with a very proud smile on her face. now, nine months later there's this amazing six-year-old who can read, enjoys doing math, and is trying her best to write in cursive ("did i write my name in cursive right, mama?").

my very first

this not so little one here:

was my very first paid photog gig some three years ago. she was 8 weeks old, and i remember being so nervous standing at their doorstep, hoping to God i didn't mess it up, lol! I guess i did alright some 6+ sessions and one baby brother later! here are a few from our latest outing at the gorgeous Arboretum!

a few years in the making

this one I've known since she was in her mama's belly. i was only 8 at the time (you do the math) but boy does that make me feel old!! i've had my eye on her for a few years now, knowing that she would get along soooo well with my camera :) happy to see that i was right! thanks taylor! you're gorgeous!
